Banking Industry Integrity Charter
(9th October 2024) The Hong Kong Association of Banks (HKAB) and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) fully support the launch of the Banking Industry Integrity Charter (the Charter) by the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC). Through public-private partnership, the Charter aims to assist banks in implementing effective integrity systems, to further strengthen the industry’s awareness and capability in preventing corruption and integrity violations, thereby reinforcing Hong Kong’s status as an international financial centre. To kick off this important initiative, the HKAB, HKMA and ICAC jointly held a launching ceremony today.
