The table below summarises the closing and re-opening of bank branches for ease of reference by members of the public. While HKAB endeavours to make public announcements through the Government Information Services as to the times at which banks will close or re-open to the public during typhoons or rainstorms, for enquiries about the banking hours of a particular bank, customers should enquire with the relevant bank direct.
I. Bank Closing and Re-opening during Typhoons and Extreme Conditions after Super Typhoons*

*Extreme Conditions may be raised by the Hong Kong Government after a super typhoon as explained in chapter 5 of the “Code of Practice in Times of Typhoons and Rainstorms” which is issued and updated from time to time by the Labour Department (https://www.labour.gov.hk/eng/public/wcp/Rainstorm.pdf).
II. Bank Closing and Re-opening during Black Rainstorm Warning
