“Smart Seniors” Consumer eHub
The Hong Kong Association of Banks (HKAB) attaches great importance to financial inclusion and is committed to encouraging the banking industry to continuously enhance its financial services to respond to the needs of different groups in the community, enabling more members of the public to access banking services conveniently. As an important part of the community, seniors have specific needs when using banking services. HKAB has been attentive to these needs and encourages the banking industry to enhance the accessibility, convenience and user-friendliness of its services, enabling seniors to use financial services with greater confidence and ease. As a representative of the banking industry, HKAB also places great importance on giving back to the community and actively works with different stakeholders and community partners through various community initiatives to respond to social needs and promote inclusion.
In 2026, the Consumer Council launched the “Smart Seniors Consumer eHub”, providing one-stop consumer information for elderly consumers, their families and caregivers. The platform brings together consumer information covering different areas and presents it in a clear, easy-to-read and user-friendly format, making it easier for elderly consumers to access the latest information relevant to their daily lives.
The “Smart Seniors Consumer eHub” also features information relating to the banking sector, including practical resources provided by HKAB, making it easier for seniors and their families to access information relevant to their everyday banking needs.
